My name is Jan Rauwerdink, and I've been passionate about analog photography for many years. I'm not a professional photographer, but a dedicated enthusiast with high standards for both the craft and its technical aspects. What fascinates me isn't just the final image, but also the photographic and technical principles behind it.

As an engineer, I enjoy approaching subjects in a systematic and analytical way. Over the years, I've built my knowledge through books, hands-on experimentation, discussions with fellow photographers, and—most importantly—practical experience.

I created this blog to organize, document, and share that knowledge with others. My background as a trainer and project manager has taught me the value of clear explanations and making complex topics easy to understand.

This blog focuses on the three core areas of analog photography: photographic composition, the complete photographic workflow—from capturing the image to producing the final print or scan—and the technology behind cameras and lenses.
